WA-Protein G is an affinity medium made by immobilising Protein G onto WA-4FF by cyanogen bromide activation. Protein G has a broader binding spectrum than Protein A. Protein G binds strongly to the Fc fragment of the antibody and weakly interacts with the Fab fragment of the antibody. Protein G has a broader binding spectrum than Protein A. Protein G also binds strongly to the Fc fragment of the antibody and weakly interacts with the Fab fragment of the antibody.
