Soft Shield Fern Proliferum

A light, feathery fern, Polystichum setiferum Proliferum Group is a fairly large, evergreen, perennial fern with an upright, mound-forming, shuttlecock habit and lightly arching, overlapping fronds. The fronds are mid-green, flushed purple on the new growth, and doubly navided, giving a feathery appearance. Tolerates dry shade once established. Soft Shield Fern Proliferum is perfect for a woodland planting, or for a shady bed or border, and particularly pretty with early spring bulbs like snowdrops.
